Missing Woman Found in Cass County

keighley-alyeaThe body of an 18-year-old woman from Overland Park, KS was discovered recently in a field near E. 235th St. and State Route K near East Lynne.

Keighley Ann Alyea was found by police on Monday night (10/5) around 9:30 p.m. while working in connection with the Overland Park Police.

Alyea’s uncle, William Frentrop, has said she was apparently attacked in Overland Park and driven to Cass County.  “Somewhere along the drive out east of Harrisonville, she regained consciousness and at that time, they had the option to do the right thing and they chose to finish killing her,” Frentrop said.

Authorities have not said why Alyea was murdered and that an investigation is ongoing.

The case could be tried in Missouri or Kansas.  The 3 suspects in the case, Gerald Calbeck, 18, Joseph Mattox, 21, and Dustin Hilt, 18 are being charged with first-degree murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated assault and are are each being held on $2,000,000 bail in Johnson County, KS.
