Hartzler Campaign Kickoff
Posted By J.T. on September 17, 2009
Former state rep. Vicky Hartzler (R - Harrisonville) will be hosting a campaign kickoff and BBQ next Monday, September 21st.
As reported early last month, Hartzler has filed a Statement of Candidacy to run against incumbent Ike Skelton (D - Lexington) in Missouri’s 4th district. The campaign kickoff will be held at The Farm, 28710 S. State Rte. 7 in Garden City.
From the Cass County Democrat-Missourian:
“Our country stands at a crossroads economically and morally,” Hartzler said. “The leadership in Washington, D.C., is taking our nation down a path of ruin. It is time that someone stands up to Speaker Pelosi and President Obama and says, “No.” Too much is at stake to sit by and allow their destructive policies to bankrupt our nation.”
“Therefore, after receiving encouragement from numerous people in the Fourth Congressional District; national, state and local party leaders; and, most importantly, after much consideration, prayer and with the full support of my husband, Lowell, and daughter, Tiffany, I want to let the people of this area know that I have decided to run for Congress.”
“It was an honor to serve the people as their representative in state government,” Hartzler said. “I look forward to working with them again to bring their common-sense ideas and heartland values to federal government.”
You can sign up for the event, scheduled at 5:30pm, HERE.
A very well done and successful kickoff. We need Vicky in Washington and we need Ike in Lexington.
