Today Harrisonville residents overwhelmingly voted against a $.55 tax levy to build a new pre-school.

More interesting than the margin of defeat (82/18) is the number of ballots cast. 2,028 residents voted, totalling 21.61% of registered voters. This seems impressive for a special election, with only 1 question on the ballot.

What did the school pay on a cost per vote basis for this election?
Is it a bad sign when you recieve fewer votes for your side than you had in yard signs printed up?
Just askin…
FYI - The Special Election cost $25,000. The cost per yes vote was $66.67, not including costs for signs/letters/postage, etc…
