MIAC issue will not go away

“Governor Nixon, you are fired!”  So says Catherine Bleish, executive director for the Kansas City-based Liberty Restoration Project.

The group has received a lot of press the last couple days, due mostly to this video clip from YouTube:

This is the 4th attempt made by the LRP and We the People foundation to meet with the governor in person about the MIAC report, which classifies certain conservative groups as potential threats to national security.  “We were approached by the security of the governor and were informed we were not welcomed in the office” said LRP spokesman Bryon Huber.  They were told they are not welcome to return to the state capitol.

In regards to her conversations with the Governor’s receptionist, Ms. Bleish says “I told her last week a call even explaining why we could not meet would work but please stop ignoring us.”

“Getting information, especially public information, out of our fusion center out to local law enforcement agencies is what we do every day and we’re going to continue to do,” said Nixon about the report.  “Any way they take that information and can analyze what the threat levels are is important to make sure the public stays safe.”
