Citywide Spring Cleanup

The city of Harrisonville will hold its Citywide Spring Cleanup during the next two weekends, May 7-9 and May 14-16. The drop-off site will be the Town & Country transfer station, located just north of Harrisonville, at 22820 S. 291 Highway. Times are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. General trash will be acĀ­cepted at no charge, as will unmounted car tires, motor oil, latex paints, batteries and household appliances. The following items will not be accepted: brush and yard waste, truck tires, mounted tires, shingles, oil-based paints, paint thinners, pesticides, insecticides and yard chemicals. City staff remind residents that proof of Harrisonville residency, such as a current utility bill, is required to participate in any Citywide Cleanup activity. For more information, call 380-8900.
